What documents do I need in order to visit Costa Rica?

All visitors to Costa Rica must possess a passport valid for at least three months from the date of arrival (including babies and young children). We advise you to bring a photocopy of your passport as well (in case you lose your original).

What currency is accepted in Costa Rica?

Both US Dollars and Costa Rican Colones are generally accepted.

Can I get money from a local ATM?

Yes, there are many banks and ATM Machines in Quepos town.

What about tips/gratuities for the staff?

Tips are appropriate for the staff at the end of your stay (typically guests tip the staff on their last morning at breakfast).

Are there medical facilities nearby?

Yes, there are local hospitals; private doctors, pharmacies and your host will assist you in any emergency situation.

What’s the cost of the villa?

The cost of the villa depends on: property, season and size. Please be aware that we provide weekly rentals (Sat – Sat) and we require a minimum of 3 days rental.

What is the method of payments?

By wire transfer or Credit Card. For the credit card usage there will be an additional charge of 3% on top.

How to make a reservation?

In order to book a property the customer needs to fill out a rental agreement and send it back to us. Then we require 50% up front and the other 50% 30 days before the arrival date.

Cancellations policy?

All cancellations forfeit the 50% reservation deposit. Provided the house can be re-rented for the same period, the remaining 50% is fully refundable minus administration costs and rate differences.

Do you accept pets?

Pets only allowed by special request.

Do you offer last minute promotions?

The information will be confirmed based on: property, season, how many people and availability of the villas.

What are the services and tours available?

We offer concierge services which means that we can assist you with any special arrangement that you may need such as transportation back and forth to the airport, could be by ground or by air, tours and activities such as, fishing, diving, snorkelling, sailing, wave runners, mangrove, Manuel Antonio national park, canopy, atv, rafting, bird watching, chef services, in house massage, car rental, baby sitting, or any other special request that you may have.

How to get to the villas?

We’ll meet our customers at our office in Quepos and we will provide their itinerary and take them to the villa in order to proceed with the check in. if they made car arrangements we can meet at the local airport in Quepos at the car rental’s office and from there take them to the villa.

How do I get to the villa from the International Airport in San Jose?

1.) Car rental

Some guests prefer to rent a car in San José, and we can assist you with the arrangements, the rates vary depending on the type of car and the season.

2.) Private transportation service

We can assist you with the arrangements for a private van from San Jose.
The price for San José airport transportation:

1 – 4 guests $180
5 – 9 guests $200
10 – 25 guests $350

3.) Domestic flight

There are two domestic airlines that fly daily to Quepos. The rate is approximately $72 or $75 (depending on airline) per passenger and they have multiple flights available depending on the season.

Is there an additional charge for laundry and maid service?

Daily maid and laundry service are included.

What time of year can I get the best rates?

September, October and November are considered off-season and rates are adjusted accordingly.

Can I hire a private chef?

Private Chef Services are one of the most popular services that you can find in this area. Based on your menu choices, our chef will come to your home and create an amazing meal. A chef can be arranged for your entire stay, to cook for a full day or for one or two special meals. The cost for this service is $110 one meal, $150 per two meals and $190 for full day. The cost of the food is additional.

What services do you offer?

Our services are basically split into two:

1 - Reservations management and client care

2 - Property and staff management and upkeep

The first service includes all marketing, reservations; payment handling and client care services. The 2nd service includes bill payment, staff management, property upkeep etc, and this is a flat monthly fee depending on which services you require from us, and the size and activity of the home. Please contact us for more details.

How do I list my property?

When you join Green Coast Villas you need to fill out a simple form. Once you have provided the information about your vacation rental, we take care of the rest.

How do I go about changes and updates to my property?

Simple. Once we have added your property to GreenCoastVillas.com, you may change all aspects of your listing and let us know so that we can update it.
