Getting There
By Road
Driving from San Jose: Approximately 3 hours.
From Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, take Highway 1 west/northwest approximately 12 kilometers (6 miles). Exit Highway 1 to the right at the signs for Atenas and Orotina, and make a left turn and begin driving on the road over the mountains toward the town of Atenas. When reaching Atenas, continue on the same main road toward Orotina.
In Orotina, take the highway to Puntarenas and drive for approximately 10 kilometers. Just after the only gas station that you will see on your left, take the exit to Jaco. Stay on this road through Jaco and the town of Parrita to Quepos. After Quepos you are only 6 kilometers from Manuel Antonio.
By Domestic Flight
There are two domestic airlines that fly daily to Quepos. The rate is approximately $72 or $75 (depending on airline) per passenger and they have multiple flights available depending on the season.
